Picado combines a solid wood appearance with remarkable acoustical absorption. Micro-perforated pinholes, small enough to be invisible from a distance, allow sound energy to pass through to acoustical materials beneath.
Picado’s MicroPerf pinholes virtually disappear from as close as 10 feet away. Picado’s acoustical performance starts with a unique core that has over three hundred holes per square foot. Over this core, the MicroPerf veneer (or laminate) is added, transforming the surface from reflective to absorptive when absorbers are added beneath.
Picado can be shipped as planks or panels that are field installed over nailers and absorbers, or pre-built as all-in-one Ensemble panels.
Simply select the desired finish, then choose planks for a continuous surface or panels/Ensemble for a panelized look.
Planks
Picado tongue and groove planks create a hardwood floor-like appearance.
Planks are easily field cut and nailed in place around doors, windows, and other architectural features.
Panels
Picado panels are hung on z-clips and can be custom sized to your dimensions.
Ensemble
Ensemble arrives as a ready to hang panel complete with fiberglass and frame.

Picado is one of four distinctive patterns for sound absorption in The Acoustical Wood Collection.
These patterns enable designers to create beautiful auditoriums, atriums, conference rooms, courthouses, student centers or other areas where finished wood is desired and acoustical comfort is needed.
